Why does Mt. Carmel CYO basketball need donations?
Our program runs at a deficit annually. The main reason is because Mill Valley does not have a community gymnasium and we must purchase expensive gym rentals in order to provide quality facilities for our teams to practice in.
We also need donations to help fund numerous basketball scholarships for needy families. In 2004 we raised over $11,000 and used $18,000 of cash reserves for a total expenditure of $29,000 to install a much needed state of the art Sport Court gymnasium floor at the Mt. Carmel Gymnasium.
We now need to raise additional monies for other facility improvements (glass backboards and new lighting) as well as to fund our annual deficit. We are committed to not raising Registration fees in excess of $200. Any donation you can make would be greatly appreciated and would be put to great use. |
How Do I Contribute?
Mail a check for $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, up to $1,000. You will be acknowledged in the Mt. Carmel Gymnasium Donor Plaque per the designations below. Mail your donations to: Mt.
